:: BUSINESS LINK NIAGARA TAKES THEIR PAPER TO THE WEB

Well, it's been awhile since our last newsletter and since then the Business Link Niagara's brand new web site has produced 3 on-line issues. Back in the spring, Business Link owner, Adam Shields, and DANIMA sat down to develop a concept for their first official web site. The result was a re-creation of the vastly popular Business Link publication, on-line! All the features you've grown to expect and enjoy in the paper product you can now find on-line. Well, not everything...but 75% of it. In addition to the current edition of the paper, back issues are easily accessible by clicking on the arrow in the top menu bar.
The new Business Link web site also offers businesses the ability to add a press release to be posted on the site, information on how to advertise in the paper publication, employment information and more. The best part of the site is that all issues are completely maintained by the Business Link using EzEditor, a content management system powered by DANIMA. The entire site can be completely edited in a password protected administrative area - and Adrian and the Business Link team do a great job of updating the site on a monthly basis.

: NIAGARA FALLS DISCOUNT HOTELS GETS NEW LOOK

Last issue we announced the re-design and development of the Niagara Falls Hilton Fallsview site, shortly after that the DANIMA team began developing the Hilton's Hotel Discount portal site - Niagara Falls Discount Hotels. With another great design by the Hilton's very own Amy Seagram, DANIMA built the new site complete with information on the Days Inn North, Days Inn Fallsview, Best Western Fireside, Hampton Inn, Waters Edge Inn, and the Fallsview Hilton (all of which are currently being re-developed by DANIMA), hotel packages and on-line reservations, as well as, coupons for discount attractions, discount sightseeing tours and discount dining.
The next step will be the launch of the afore mentioned hotel's re-designed sites and the re-design and development of the Souvenir City Headquarters web site and E-store.

Well, it's been awhile since that glorious day in May when the not-yet-one-year-old, Evan James Rotella won his first award...11 months and he has a trophy in his room, not bad! EvanRotella.com was the winner of "Best Personal Web Site" at the 4th Annual E-Niagara Web Awards. Evan's Dad accepted the award on his behalf because he was in bed at the time.

Never Too Busy To Send Out Your Newsletter!

Well, isn't this a teachable moment? After all the marketing articles over the past few years, it seems I just write 'em and I don't read 'em! You see, I'm a huge believer that you have to spend time on the things that are important to your business. Things like, good customer service, completing client work and...uh...umm...sending out your e-newsletters on a consistent basis! Well, we've spent so much time on getting client work done that we haven't taken the time (I haven't taken the time) to send out a newsletter since the end of April. Bad Davey!!
Oh, I know that people aren't sitting anxiously in their computer chairs, checking their inbox every few minutes hoping to find a new DANIMA News! However, I do realize what a great vehicle our newsletter is for letting our subscribers know what great things are happening at DANIMA and what great new services we have to offer. By not sending out more frequent DANIMA News editions we fail to do this and we fall out of the minds of those whom we don't deal with on a regular basis! Not a very good idea, eh? You can't let yourself get so caught up in the grunt work that you stop doing some of the essential things for your business - networking, marketing, etc. Take a step back and remember to "work on" your business, not just "in" your business (borrowed from Outside the Box). Oh physician, heal thy self!!
And whatever you do...learn from other people's mistakes, like mine (and I make a lot of them). Spend time on getting your business message out there. What good is all the work you do if nobody knows you are doing it. Never be "too busy" to sent our your newsletters, your broadcast emails, and all those things that keep your business in the front of people's minds.
On that note, back to the grind.
