:: CLASSIC IRON MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM'S NEW E-STORE
|
|
Niagara's newest and hottest attraction - Classic Iron Motorcycle Museum - not only opened the front doors to their Victoria Avenue location in Niagara Falls this past Spring, but this past summer they also opened their e-doors to the global community.
Owners Domenic Casciano (of former Alien Encounter fame) and Phil Pasco (owner of the best darn wing and pizza joint in town - Yanks Old Niagara) along with the DANIMA team and great design efforst of DANIMA and Amy Seagram (a team effort this time) produced a sight that mirrors the sleek and classic look of their new museum. The site offers visitors a peak into the museum, an opportunity for visitors to the site to post a testimonial that gets dynamically displayed, a "for sale" section, and more!
In early October Classic Iron took their site to the next level by offering visitors the opportunity to purchase a smapling of their products on-line. The Classic Iron On-Line store offers visitors selected clothing and merchandise all at the click of a mouse. So, whether you are in Niagara or Nigeria, you can stop by Classic Iron On-line and pick yourself up a hat, a mug, or maybe, a painting? Then just wait for the delivery person to show up at your door.
So, take a minute and stop by www.classiciron.ca and see what Niagara's newest and hottest attraction offers on-line!

DANIMA and our friends Jim and Vince from the Niagara Falls Hilton group worked closely together over the summer to develop a look and feel for 5 more of their hotels sites. The idea was to keep them consistent with the new Niagara Falls Hilton web site. All the same features of their former sites were incorporated into a new looka and new structure. With the guidance of creative guru, Amy Seagram, DANIMA produced 5 sites that all connect with their portal site - Niagara Falls Hotel Discounts.
Best Western Fireside Hotel, Days Inn Fallsview, Days Inn North of the Falls, Hampton Inn North of the Falls and Water's Edge Inn were all re-launched in early September complete. Complete with information on Special Packages, on-line booking (courtesy of John Pinter and InfoNiagara), attraction information and more.

First The Eagles re-united back in the early 90's and now this!! After 4 years of design contemplation our good friend, Derek of Hype Graphic Design, produced an awesome design for his new web site. With this new look for Hype Graphic Design, DANIMA's team went to work building the all new and very first Hype web site!
This brand new web site incorporates the eZ Editor Content Manager with a full administration area that allows Derek to manage all of his content, his portfolio and all of his clients in one easy-to-use administration area. When a new logo is designed, he simply logs in and uploads the logo and voila, it dynamically updates his site! Simple, quick and effective!

:: CHOOSE NIAGARA IS MOVING TO THE NIAGARA DIRECTORY
|
|
Moving? Yep, after 4 years as ChooseNiagara.com and ChooseNiagara.ca, the most comprehensive on-line Niagara Region Business Directory is re-locating. Well, somewhat.
Choose Niagara officially moved from .com to .ca in early Septemeber of 2005 (though the .ca has been e for 2 years). But as with all sites it's time for a change. Change of location, direction and appearance! Choose Niagara is currently undergoing a Web-Lift and moving to The Niagara Directory - www.theniagaradirectory.com! New look, new name...with all of the great things visitors and members have grown to love about Niagara's most comprehensive on-line directory.
Now, with over 9000 business listings and over 1200 hits/day, the staff at Choose Niagara are re-building the entire directory from the ground up. The fresh new look and new members area will provide both visitors and members with an even better on-line experience. The Niagara Directory will offer our members increased administrative capabilities, more advertising opportunities and increased exposure. Our visitors will be able to find the information they are looking for quicker and more efficiently.
We are excited about the move and looking forward to offering the global community a more comprehensive site to showcase this great area and all the great municipalities, businesses and people that make up the Niagara Region. An updated Calendar of Events, Job Listings area and Business Search will be part of the first phase of the move. The second phase will include the inclusion of the eZ Editor into member's profile pages allowing more creative freedom, industry related articles, real estate listings, and more!
Due to the success of our current Executive Advertising Special, we will continue to offer the low advertising cost of $49.95 when we migrate the site to The Niagara Directory! In fact, all members will receive additional features once the new system is completed for the same price. Still, the best deal in town! To see more about this great offer visit www.chooseniagara.ca and see what a $1/week can do for your business!

:: MONTHLY MARKETING ARTICLE
|
|
Link Popularity It's Very Important
-- by David Rotella Jr.
As promised in my last article, I am going to re-visit link popularity and why it has become so important to your web site's page ranking!
In his article Understanding Back Links, Richard Moore states, "Perhaps the biggest contributing factor to a successful web site is incoming links or Back Links. Without links, your website will more than likely go unnoticed." This may sound a bit harsh...but it's true. Back links (another way of saying reciprocal links) are essential to having the major search engines find you. And, similar to collecting CD's, the one with the most (reciprocal links) wins! And not just the most, but the most relevant "back" links! In other words, if you are a car dealership and the local tavern has you as a link on their site, this is not considered an industry related "back" link! Sure, it adds to your collection of links (just as an old Yanni CD will add to your CD collection), however, you are looking for quality not just quantity!
And unlike days-gone-by, it is not enough to just set up a links page and fill it with reciprocal links. Now it seems that the Google Gods are asking for more! You still need to acquire those reciprocal links, but now you need to place these links on pages throughout your site that have related content (content that is related to those particular links). So, if you have a web site and one of the sections is on widgets, you should be placing widget-related links on this page. You could do this by creating a section on the page called "Resources" or "Related Links", or you could have them dispersed throughout the actual content. Either works and pleases those temultuous Google Gods!
