:: MERCHANT ACCOUNTS @ DANIMA!
DANIMA Technologies Inc. have become authorized "Sales Partners" with InternetSecure - the world's premier Internet credit card processor. Now DANIMA can help you and your business make an easy transition into the world of E-Commerce!
"For many small to medium companies the first barrier to conducting legitimate credit card transactions via the Internet is qualifying and acquiring Credit Card Merchant Status. Banks around the world are reluctant to deal with mail order/telephone and Internet merchants. If they do grant merchant status, they will usually require substantial security deposits prior to the merchant actually generating revenues over the Net. Internetsecure breaks down these barriers immediately!
As an approved Internet Merchant Acquiring organization, Intenet Secure have the authority to grant merchant status for use with the InternetSecure system. This is made possible in part by their track record with Internet transactions since 1996 and the fact that they guarantee all merchants' accounts to their financial institutions. InternetSecure are authorized to provide merchant status for Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover to their merchants. It is not necessary for our merchants to obtain merchant status from their bank.
Canadian and United States dollar merchant status is available for all qualified merchants*, regardless of their country of origin. There are no requirements to incorporate or open bank accounts in Canada or the United States to be an InternetSecure merchant." [courtesy of InternetSecure]
Together with InternetSecure, DANIMA can assist our clients in acquiring their merchant account and integrating E-Commerce on their web site. Visit DANIMA's E-Commerce section for more information!

:: SWIPE YOUR CREDIT CARD ON-LINE?
Canadians now have the ability to use the smart card technology when shopping online, through a new smart card that is offered by CIBC and American Express. The 'CIBC entourage American Express Card' is the first smart chip card available nationally in Canada.
One of the features of this card is that it provides additional security for cardholders and merchants alike. A smart card reader, which attaches to the cardholder's personal computer is available with the card. When you wish to purchase online from DANIMA, simply visit our secure website as you do today. You then have the option to perform a secure online transaction with Lockit or choose any of the other standard card types including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and standard American Express Cards.
With a Lockit transaction, you never have to enter your credit card number. InternetSecure technology detects the smart card reader and you are prompted to enter a smart chip password. The card and password are authenticated directly by American Express during the transaction.
DANIMA, through InternetSecure, now offers this new payment solution called "LockIt" that enables secure Internet purchases to be made at your website using an EMV-enabled American Express chip card. The EMV standard is a new platform designed to replace magnetic striped cards with a more secure microchip standard. Over time both credit cards and merchant terminals will be replaced with new EMV standard cards and devices. AMEX is providing substantial resources to ensure the success of this new extra secure technology in Canada, and DANIMA is one of only a few merchants offering the security of LockIt.

:: MEASURE THE VALUE OF YOUR CONTENT
by Gerry McGovern from ClickZ Today
There's a classic saying in management: If you can't measure it, you can't manage it. Measuring content involves an understanding of knowledge and information. It involves seeing content as an asset. It involves clearly articulating objectives you have for your content and comparing how content performs against other forms of communication.
Knowledge is what you know. Knowledge helps your organization achieve its objectives. Information is the process of delivering value through the communication of knowledge. Understanding the amount of value information has delivered involves measuring what new knowledge people have acquired as a result of being informed.
Let's say you have a sales presentation for your product. Your principle objective is to make people more likely to buy your product as a result of the presentation. If after the presentation people are no more likely to buy your product, did you inform?
It is not enough to measure how much new knowledge your audience acquired. The critical measure is how more likely people are to act.
One way you can show the value your Web site delivers is to compare the cost and efficiency of content versus human-to-human interaction. Content tends to deliver more value:
- The easier it is to turn a piece of knowledge into content
- The more people who need to be informed
- The more geographically dispersed these people are
- The more quickly they need to be informed
- The more precise and accurate the information needs to be
- The higher the cost of human-to-human information is compared to content
Inform your web site visitors through content! After all, what are you doing at this moment? You're reading.
