Problems with IE 7?
Here's how to Uninstall IE7 and go
back to your previous version.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.
- Scroll down the list to select Internet Explorer 7,
and then click "Change/Remove."
If you cannot find Internet Explorer 7 in Add or Remove Programs,
click Start, click Run, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe,
and then press ENTER.
Note: %windir% is the location of your Windows directory, which can

ALL NEW ON-LINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM
|
|
Early in 2006 DANIMA partnered up with the Ontario Ball Hockey Association to build their on-line Stats and Scheduling system. With that system in place, DANIMA is now in the final stages of completing the OBHA's on-line Registration System which will provide all of their leagues with complete registration functionality from individual player registration to full team registration all at the click of a mouse.
Once in place the system will roll out to the Canadian Ball Hockey Association to bring all of the leagues into one easy-to-maintain system. It is really exciting because this program will revolutionize how these leagues will function with respect to their registration process.
Thanks to the hard work and hockey background of DANIMA's partner Curtiss Chin, this system will be top notch and will compete with the best systems on the market today. For only $5 per player a league will be able to have a full on-line stats, scheduling and registration system. Complete with full administration functionality and multiple-user access levels, this system does it all.
Look for the launch of this amazing system and the new ballhockey.net web site in February '07.

BROCK OFFICE AUTOMATION
|
|
Once again DANIMA's design and programming team has not only designed a great looking new web site, but they've created a full web system for Brock Office Automation.
The new system will allow owners, Mike and Danita Gammon the ability to completely maintain their web site. From product management to content management, this site allows the administrator to login to a secure members area and add new products, modify existing products, add new manufactures, new product categories, etc. The new Brock Office site offers the visitor to the site information on the company and the myriad of services and solutions they provide their clients. As well, the new site offers a catalogue of all of the products they sell.
Though it may be hard to see from the front end when you visit brockofficeautomation.com, this site is a full web system that is completely database driven and has full administrative functionality. Check it out!

CRIVELLER CAKES NEW SITE
|
|
When Giovanni Del Priore, owner of Criveller Cakes, came to DANIMA to see about a web site re-design he didn't realize he was actually going to receive a full Product Management Solution for his site. Well, he got that and much, much more.
Back in October of 2006, the all new Criveller Cakes catalogue web site was launched. With full photos and descriptions of all their specialty cakes, pastries, cookes, chocolates and truffles. This catalogue is completely administered by the Criveller team, enabling them to update their items as often as they like. Similar to Brock Office Automation, the Criveller web site is a full administrative system allowing the client to maintain their information in an easy-to-use administration area.
Visit Criveller Cakes but make sure you are not hungry, because once you see the mouth-watering deserts...you will be!

GRAMMY-AWARD WINNER JOE GRUSHECKY'S CANADIAN SITE LAUNCH
|
|
"In these days of techno-pop and hip hop, it's easy to forget the joys of true, hard-driving rock' n' roll. Music about lost dreams and star-crossed love, about working hard and longing for the weekend. For fans in Pittsburgh, Joe Grushecky and his band The Houserockers have personified that kind of music for three decades." (courtesy of NPR.org)
On the day of Joe Grushecky's show at the famed Cadillac Lounge in Toronto back in November, DANIMA's Dave R. bumped into Joe G. before he was about to play. The usual nervousness ensued but Dave did manage to tell Joe that DANIMA would love to help him with his web needs. Though he has an existing web site, DANIMA wanted to create a Canadian site and offer him the tools to update the web site regularly without requiring a webmaster. Well, Joe kindly said to email him and, though, Dave originally thought it was just a nice way saying "yeah, whatever", he did. Joe kindly replied and the rest, they say, is history.
DANIMA's lead designer, Leigh-Ann then went to work and did what she does best! The result was an awesome design and with the addition of an "Event Manager", "Blog Manager" and "Photo Manager" the new Joe Grushecky Canada site was born! The site offers visitors a look at where Joe's upcoming gigs are, some great photography, music clips (coming soon), personal updates (coming soon) and a discography with links to purchase this great music.
Check out the new site at www.joegrushecky.ca and do yourself a favour and pick up, at least, his great new CD "A Good Life". It's a must have for anyone who appreciates great rock and roll and great songwriting!
As you can see by all the banners, we are big music fans and we like to promote great music to our readers! So, look for our Joe Grushecky contest starting January 12, 2007 where we will be drawing a weekly winner (for 2 entire months) for the chance to win a copy of Joe's great new disc "A Good Life" and the grand prize will be Joe Grushecky's entire discography - courtesy of Mr. Grushecky himself. Check out the site shortly for details on how to enter!

NEW CASA D'ORO SITE
|
|
The Casa d'Oro was DANIMA's third client. Now 300 clients and 8.5 years later the Casa d'Oro decided to change their look and modernize their web site. The new look reflects their latest marketing materials and offers their visitors information on their history and all they have to offer patrons.
As well, the new web system utilizes DANIMA's eZ Editor to assist owner, Tom Roberto, in updating his web site and not having to wait for me to get to the small stuff (lol)!
First you have to stop by their new site at www.thecasadoro.com and then you need to stop by the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Either one, you'll be happy you did!!

MONTHLY MARKETING ARTICLE
|
|
Niagara Entrepreneur
-- by Adam Shields
The following article appears in the January 2007 edition of Niagara's Business Newspaper 'The Business Link;'
- Why did you choose to start a web design company?
When I first started developing web sites the industry was still fairly green here in Niagara. I quickly developed a passion for web design and realized the potential of, what was then, a fast growing industry. I think it eventually caught on :)
- What is the latest trend in website design?
I don't know if you'd call it a trend, but I think Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become increasingly important to businesses in the latest E-phase. At one time it was important to for a business to simply develop a web presence, now businesses are realizing that a web site will not help you if people are not finding your site. This has produced a boom in the SEO industry and lead many businesses like ours to add this to our growing number of services.
- How would a business get more traffic to their website?
Funny you should ask! Driving traffic to your website is the same as driving business to your store front. Marketing, marketing, marketing! You have to market your business - on-line as well as off-line. Google rankings depend heavily on how many sites (related sites) are linked TO you. So, spending time making key linkages to your site is highly important. Another way to drive traffic is Google AdWords. Investigate this great Google tool - it will help!
- What is the vision of your business for the future?
DANIMA's focus has already begun to shift towards building businesses E-systems that will assist in them running their business. From Reservation Systems to Contact and Content Management Systems, DANIMA has been creating products to enhance businesses web presence - making complex functionality common. The future of the Web Development company is not in creating pretty designs, but in creating functional, clean web sites that assist businesses in the bottom line - making money and saving time.
- Why would a company use your services?
DANIMA has been in business since 1998 and has a proven reputation of providing our clients with excellent products that help them run their business. We offer full E-Business solutions - design, development, hosting, domain registration, database development and Search Engine Optimization. All your Web needs under one roof.
- What should a business look for in a web design company?
I think it is important to look for a company that has developed roots in the industry. There's nothing worse than having a web site designed for you and then not having anyone to support the site when it requires changes or upgrades because that company is no longer in business or the kid down the street went away to college. Also, look for a company that can offer you all of your web requirements in one package - design/development, hosting, Search Engine Optimization. This makes the administration of your web services much simpler for you. Finally, there are many great web companies in the region...meet with them and look for a good fit with you and your business. You have to remember that you will require upgrades, new technologies and re-designs to your site as your company and web site vision grows. Because of this you will want to be able to depend on and trust in your web company to assist you in this growth process.
Until next time...visit our article archives
