What's the difference between Windows XP Home and Professional editions?
The Home and Professional editions of Windows XP are nearly identical; the only differences are additional features found in the Professional edition that most likely won't appeal to home users. The primary differences, aside from the price and the color of the packaging, are as follows:
Windows XP Home Edition
Contains basic support for security among multiple users.
Built-in support for peer-to-peer networking, but only for up to five computers.
The backup utlity is not installed by default, but is included on the CD.
Windows XP Professional Edition
Includes extended support for security between multiple users on the same machine.
Better support for peer-to-peer networking, plus support for joining a "Windows NT domain."
The backup utlity is installed by default.
The Professional edition includes the following components not found in the Home edition:
Administrative Tools (in the Start Menu and Control Panel), Automated System Recovery (ASR), Boot Configuration Manager, DriverQuery, Group Policy Refresh Utility, Multi-lingual User Interface (MUI) add-on , NTFS Encryption Utilitiy, Offline Files and Folders, OpenFiles, Performance Log Manager, Remote Desktop, Scheduled Tasks Console, Security Template Utility, Taskkill, Tasklist, Telnet Administrator
Provides support for multi-processor systems (2 or 4 CPUs), Dynamic Disks, Fax.

LIGHT OF DAY NIAGARA BENEFIT CONCERT FOR PARKINSON'S & ALS
|
|
Local, New York and New Jersey artists join together for a great cause.
On December 9, 2007 The Niagara Centre for the Performing Arts will be holding the
Canadian Light of Day concert to benefit victims of both Parkinson's Disease and ALS.
The Light of Day shows originated back in 2000 in New Jersey at the infamous Stone
Pony. With artists such as Southside Johnny, Joe Grushecky and Bruce Springsteen
headlining the shows, these shows have raised over $200,000 in the fight against
Parkinson’s. Artists such as Joe D’Urso from New Jersey and Willie Nile, a native
Buffalonian, have expanded the scope of this great project. Last year they began Light of
Day Europe with concerts in Rome, Bedford and Barcelona. This year they not only
added Stockholm and Rotterdam to the European schedule but also two Canadian shows -
Toronto and Niagara Falls.
The show will be held at the Niagara Centre for the Performing Arts at 4700 Epworth
Circle in Niagara Falls. The show will begin at 7 pm with various local bands playing a
few songs each, culminating with the Rick Rose Band Reunion. At 9 pm the stage will be
transformed for the "Songwriters in the Round". New Jersey recording artist, Joe D'Urso,
Buffalo New York’s' Willie Nile and Ron LaSalle and Toronto's Ron Sexmith will all
trade-off playing their songs and telling stories in "the round".
Parkinson's disease is a chronic and progressive neurological condition
Tickets are $25.00 for adults, $15.00 for students and VIP (first 2 rows and Meet & Greet) for $50.00. Tickets are available at The Beat Goes On, Video 2000 and DANIMA Technologies Inc. in Niagara Falls, Sunrise Records in St. Catharines, and on-line at TicketPro.ca.
Thanks to the support and sponsorship of the following organizations:
DANIMA Technologies Inc., Niagara Institute of Music and Arts, Hilton Niagara Falls, Antica
