Font Style Font Style

The Font Style button allows you to format and style selected text within the Editor Workarea including font-family, font-size, font-colour and more.

Example

  1. If you do not wish to use your website pages for testing you can visit http://www.ezeditor.net/ and click on the EZEDITOR DEMO page. Once there click the Login button to be logged in as Guest Administrator. After logging in click on the TEST AREA page then click the Edit button at the top of the page. Once the page reloads in Edit Mode you can move on to Step 6 and begin this exercise.


  2. If you wish to use your own website for testing then Login to your website as Administrator.


  3. Go to a page with eZ Editor installed.


  4. Do not save any of the changes you make while performing this exercise if you do not want to affect the current contents of the page you are using.


  5. Once logged in switch into Edit Mode on the page that you will be performing this exercise on.


  6. Type the words Test Text into the Editor Workarea.
  7. Highlight the word you just typed into the editor by placing your cursor before or after the word you wish to highlight. Hold down the left mouse button. Move the mouse left, right, up, or down until the text is highlighted.
  8. With the word highlighted click the Font Style button on the editor toolbar to open the Font Style dialog box.
  9. From the Font Style dialog box select Verdana as the font, bold as the style and 24 as the size and click OK.

  11. The selected text should now appear formatted with the Font Style that you selected.

    Note

    The font family list that is available from the Font Style dialog box are fonts which are present on your computer. If you select a font that another person who is viewing your website does not have then the browser will display a default font. To avoid this it is recommended that you use only web safe fonts. Beow is a list of Web Safe Fonts.
