Insert Hyper Link
This function adds a hyperlink to the current selected contents of the Editor Workarea. A hyperlink is an image or portion of text on a Web page that is linked to another Web page, either on the same site or in another Web site. Clicking on the link will take the user to another Web page, or to another place on the same page.
Example
- If you do not wish to use your website pages for testing you can visit http://www.ezeditor.net/ and click on the EZEDITOR DEMO page. Once there click the Login button to be logged in as Guest Administrator. After logging in click on the TEST AREA page then click the Edit button at the top of the page. Once the page reloads in Edit Mode you can move on to Step 6 and begin this exercise.
- If you wish to use your own website for testing then Login to your website as Administrator.
- Go to a page with eZ Editor installed.
- Do not save any of the changes you make while performing this exercise if you do not want to affect the current contents of the page you are using.
- Once logged in switch into Edit Mode on the page that you will be performing this exercise on.
- Type the words Hyper Link into the Editor Workarea.
- Highlight the words Hyper Link by placing your cursor before or after the words. Hold down the left mouse button. Move the mouse left, right, up, or down until both words are highlighted.
- With the words Hyper Link highlighted click the Insert Hyper Link button on the editor toolbar to open the Hyper Link dialog box.

- From the Hyper Link dialog box enter any website address such as www.kriostech.com into the URL field. Leave the Type field set to the default value of http: and click the OK button.

- The words Hyper Link should have changed color and be underlined indicating that the Hyper Link is now attached to those words. If you saved the page and switched back into View Mode clicking the words Hyper Link would then transfer you to the website address that you entered into the Hyper Link dialog box.
