Open Page

The Open Page button displays a list of pages or sections of a website which are available for editing but are not accessible through normal navigation. An example of this would be a website with information in the left or right column.

When the administrator goes into Edit Mode the main contents will be loaded into the Editor Workarea. If however the Administrator wants to edit the content to the right or left of the main contents they can click the Open Page button and Edit the left or right section of that page instead.

Example

1. Administrator switches to Edit Mode.



 

2. The main contents of the page are loaded into the Editor Workarea. The Administrator wishes to edit the contents in the left column however. The Administrator then clicks the Open Page button to open the Open Page Dialog box.



 

3. The Administrator selects Left Column from the page list and clicks the 'Open' button to load the the Left Column contents into the Editor Workarea.



 

4. The page reloads with the Left Column contents in the Editor Workarea ready for editing.



 

5. Depending on the needs of each individual website basically any part of a website can made to be accessible from the Open Page dialog box.
