After a successful login the View/Edit Control Panel will be displayed at the top of your website. The View/Edit Control Panel now appears because you logged in and have been recognized by the eZ Editor system as an Administrative User.

The 2 buttons on the control panel labeled 'View' and 'Edit' mode allow the Administrator to switch between View and Edit Mode.

While in 'View Mode' you as Administrator can navigate your site and view pages just as a normal visitor to your site would.

Edit Mode allows the Administrator to edit the contents of the page currently being viewed.

1. The View/Edit Control Panel display text to the left of the View/Edit buttons lets the Administrator know which mode they are currently in.

2. While in 'View Mode' the 'View' button will be disabled and the control panel display text will read 'VIEW MODE'.

3. When in 'Edit Mode' the 'View' button will be enabled and the 'Edit' button will be disabled. The background color of the View/Edit Control Panel will also change color.
