Once you have selected and located a page within your site that you wish to edit you will need to switch into Edit Mode.

To switch into Edit Mode do the following.

1. Click the Edit button on the View/Edit Control Panel. After clicking the Edit button the following will happen.



2. The page will reload in Edit Mode. Noted by the display text on the View/Edit Control Panel labeled 'Edit Mode' as well as the change in color of the control panel.



 

3.  The Page Contents will be loaded into the eZ Editor Work Area which is the area inside the square red outline.

The size of the Editor Work Area depends on the structure of your website. Most websites have a consistent structure throughout the site with an area designated to display the informational contents of a page. When in Edit Mode the page contents are temporarily replaced by the Editor Work Area with the contents appearing inside this Work Area ready for editing.

 

4. The eZ Editor Toolbar will be displayed. Depending on the structure of your website the eZ Editor Toolbar can appear vertically or horizontally.
