Once you are in Edit Mode you will need to use the eZ Editor Toolbar to add or edit the contents of the page. The Toolbar interface is similar to a popular word processor so it is very easy to learn and use.

Below is a short description of what each button on the toolbar does. For more details and an example of what each button does you can click any of the Hot Key buttons on the Editor Toolbar above or click on the icon beside the descriptions below.

	Open Page	Opens a listing of pages available for editing which are not accessible through normal navigation.
	Save Page	Saves pages contents to database.
	Undo	The Undo button reverse the last change made to any contents in the Editor Workarea such as cutting or formatting of any text.
	Redo	This function reverses the last Undo command.
	Find Text	The Find button allows you to search the entire contents of the Editor Workarea for occurances of specified text.
	Replace Text	The Replace button allows you to search the entire contents of the Editor Workarea for occurances of specified text and then replace any of the occurances with different text.
	Font Style	The Font Style button allows you to format and style selected text within the Editor Workarea including font-family, font-size, font-colour and more.
	Subscript	This function formats the current selected text in the Editor Workarea to be displayed below the normal line of text and in a smaller font size.
	Superscript	This function formats the current selected text in the Editor Workarea to be displayed above the normal line of text and in a smaller size.
	Strikethrough	This function formats the current selected text to appear with a line through middle of the text.
	Insert Ordered List	This function displays the selected text in the Editor Workarea as a numbered list.
	Insert Unordered List	This function displays the selected text in the Editor Workarea as a bulleted list.
	Decrease Indent	This function moves the currently selected contents Editor Workarea to the left if there is space available between the contents and the left margin of the Editor Workarea.
	Increase Indent	This function moves the contents of a line in the editor work area to the right if there is space available between the contents and the right margin of the editor work area.
	Select All	This function selects all of the contents of the editor work area.
	Remove Format	This function removes any text formatting such as font style, color or size from the current selected contents of the editor work area.
	Insert Special Char	This functions allows you to insert special letters, numbers and symbols not found on the keyboard such as © (Copyright Symbol).
	Horizontal Line	This button inserts a horizontal line with a specified height, width and color into the editor work area.
	Hyper Link	This function adds a hyperlink to the current selected contents of the editor work area. A hyperlink is an image or portion of text on a Web page that is linked to another Web page, either on the same site or in another Web site. Clicking on the link will take the user to another Web page, or to another place on the same page.
	Remove Hyper Link	This function removes a hyperlink from the current selected contents of the editor work area. A hyperlink is an image or portion of text on a Web page that is linked to another Web page, either on the same site or in another Web site. Clicking on the link will take the user to another Web page, or to another place on the same page.
	Link Target	This function allows you to select which window a hyperlink page will be displayed when a user clicks on it. The two options available are to open up in a new window or to open up in the same window.
	Insert Anchor	This function creates an anchor to a specific place within the page. Once an anchor is created a Hyper Link can be created to point to the Anchor. The words Hyper Link in this paragraph point to an Anchor beside the Hyper Link icon.
	Page Properties	This function allows you to edit various page properties such as background color, page margins and background image.
	Cut	The Cut button removes selected page content(s) from the editor work area and stores the removed contents in a hidden temporary storage area called the clipboard.
	Copy	The Copy button copies selected page content(s) from the editor work area and stores the contents in a hidden temporary storage area called the clipboard.
	Paste	The paste button places Cut or Copied contents stored in the a hidden temporary storage area called the clipboard into the editor work area at the current cursor.
	Paste as Plain Text	The paste button places Cut or Copied contents stored in the a hidden temporary storage area called the clipboard into the editor work area at the current cursor. This function also removes all formatting such as bold, italics, underline as well as any images or other graphic information will be stripped away.
	Paste from Word	The paste button places Cut or Copied contents from MS Word into the editor work area at the current cursor. This function also removes all formatting such as bold, italics, underline as well as any images or other graphic information will be stripped away.
	Text Color	This function changes the selected text in the editor work area to a color selected from a ‘Text Color’ swatch selector.
	Bold	This function formats the current selected text in the editor work area to appear in bold format.
	Italic	This function formats the current selected text in the editor work area to appear italic format.
	Underline	This function formats the current selected text in the editor work area to appear underlined.
	Left Justify	This function formats the selected text in the editor work area to be aligned along the left side of the editor work area.
	Center Justify	This function formats the selected text in the editor work area to be centered within the editor work area.
	Right Justify	This function formats the selected text in the editor work area to be aligned along the right side of the editor work area.
	Block Justify	This function formats the selected text in the editor work area to be aligned evenly across the width of the page.
	Image	This function inserts an image selected from your local computer into the editor work area.
	MouseOver Image	This allows you to create a roll over image an initial image changes to another when the mouse cursor is moved over the initial image.
	Flash Movie	This function inserts a Macromedia Flash (.swf) file selected from your local computer into the editor work area. Flash movies are animations that include sound and images.
	File Upload	This function uploads a PDF, Word or Zip document selected from your local computer to the server and creates a link to the file in the editor work area.
	Table	This function inserts a Table into the editor work area. Tables allow you to organize the layout and contents of your page by dividing it into vertical or horizontal sections whichcan be spaced and sized as desired.
	Cell Properties	This function allows you to edit individual Table cell properties such as the cell background, font size, font color, internal cellpadding, cell height, cell width and cell borders.
	Show Borders	This function temporarily displays the borders of page elements which have invisible borders such as transparent images, Tables with a border size set to 0 and anchors.
	About eZ Editor	This function displays the version number of the EZ Editor software installed on your website.
