Link Target
This function allows you to select which window a hyperlink page will be displayed when a user clicks on it. The two options available are to open up in a new window or to open up in the same window.
Example
- If you do not wish to use your website pages for testing you can visit http://www.ezeditor.net/ and click on the EZEDITOR DEMO page. Once there click the Login button to be logged in as Guest Administrator. After logging in click on the TEST AREA page then click the Edit button at the top of the page. Once the page reloads in Edit Mode you can move on to Step 6 and begin this exercise.
- If you wish to use your own website for testing then Login to your website as Administrator.
- Go to a page with eZ Editor installed.
- Do not save any of the changes you make while performing this exercise if you do not want to affect the current contents of the page you are using.
- Once logged in switch into Edit Mode on the page that you will be performing this exercise on.
- Create or locate any Hyper Link on the page you are currently working on.
- Existing Hyper Links are usually underlined and appear in a blue color.
- Once you have located a Hyper Link click on any letter, number or symbol that is part of the Hyper Link. If the Hyper Link button on the Editor Toolbar becomes active then you have successfully located a Hyper Link.

- Once you have located the Hyper Link click the Link Target button on the Editor Toolbar to open the Link Target dialog box.

- From the Link Target dialog box select New Window as the link target and click the OK button.
- If you saved the page and switched back into View Mode clicking the Hyper Link would then open up a new browser window and transfer you to the website address associated with the Hyper Link.
